How are your guards trained?

Author: Barry's Security Services Inc. |

Our guards have all received training in the fundamentals of private security. This includes legal aspects, threat assessment, observe and report, emergency situations and evacuation procedures, patrol, post order duties, fire watch, public relations, and communication. Once hired, we require that our guards complete another 40 hours of training in specialized private security courses, such as CPR, first aid, retail loss prevention, trespass, search and seizure, safety awareness, conflict management, etc., within the first six months. In addition to the additional hours of training required by the BSIS to keep their Guard Card active, we also provide in-house training to our guards every two to three months.

Prior to every assignment, our guards are also thoroughly briefed by one of our managers on their responsibilities and expectations. The manager reviews the security plan for the client and their specific post order duties.
